The Townsville HHS Gerontology Department is a multidisciplinary unit with staff specially trained in caring for the elderly in the North Queensland community.

- Outpatient Telehealth Service to rural and remote areas
- Inpatient Telehealth Service to rural and remote hospital within catchment area
- Specialist clinics - 65 years or older (55+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander).
