Coming to Hospital
What's changed recently:
Visitors to our hospitals no longer need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or check-in on arrival. Masks are still required so, please remember to bring your mask when visiting our facilities.
Visitor restrictions are still in place for COVID-positive patients. There are also some restrictions in place for international arrivals, COVID-19 positive people, and close contacts. Our aged care residents are some of our most vulnerable community members and the visitor restrictions continue for those facilities and disability accommodation services.

Whether you’re an emergency patient, visiting us for an appointment, staying overnight or having a baby, you will need to know what to expect, what to bring and where you can get further information.
In an emergency you should always call 000.

The Townsville Hospital and Health Service acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which our health facilities have been built. We pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging; and we value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and knowledge.
