Our $597 million health expansion
The Townsville Hospital and Health Service is set to be a hive of activity from late 2023 through to 2026 as we bring plans to life to build the future of healthcare for the north Queensland community.
The Townsville region is predicted to grow more than 30 per cent over the next 20 years. With thousands more expected to call the region home in the next decades demand for health services will continue.
A number of expansion and redevelopment projects are planned, or underway, to develop a stronger public health service for north Queenslanders.
